SE=SCREAMING CHICKEN (EAGLE)
S&S is a different animal all together.
Not all SE pushrods are 32 TPI.
I believe the newer tapered are.
The older are 24 TPI which is what I have.
Believe me, I counted the threads under a magnifier.
Here's one more question.
My upper pushrod covers seem very loose.
They are the longer ones that mate with the shorter lowers.
Mating surfaces look identical to my stock ones.
If you rotate the spring lock with your fingers they pop out.
O rings are installed in the tappet block...first thing I checked.
Any ideas?
Some of the locking sleeves have a slight flare at on end make sure that is up. Or make sure the straight one is down against the spring loaded collar..
The only other thing it can be is the the lowers are shorter like you said and with that the spring tension will not be the same as the others. If they are shorter the spring pressure will be less..... did you get new locking sleeves with the new tubes?
