Default SE adjustables 24 TPI

Can't seem to find the thread now.
Just double checking the recommendation here (djl?) That the adjustment depth was 3.5 to 4 TURNS from 0 lash??

I seem to remember reading a discussion that 3 was too shallow
Just can't remember if it was the 24 or 32 tpi

2.5 turns is .100" on those if they are 24tpi, which i believe they are. 3 turns would be like .120" But double check for sure.

Am I calculating correctly? 1 turn = .024 so 4 turns would =.096? ?
I seem to remember someone saying to set them deeper than .100 to reduce valve train noise with bolt in cams (Andrews 48h)
I have the rear set to 3.5 right now and bleeding down.

1/24=.041. So, 3 turns gets you to .12, another 1/2 turn will get you to .140.

I use 15 flats for 0.100 preload = 2.5 turns - 22 or 23 flats for 0.150 preload if you're running aggressive cams - that's where I have mine set. count the flats, I think it is more accurate. your 3.5 turns = 23 flats = 0.150 you might not need that much for a 48 or maybe you do - Eastcoast Jim
