I believe that is his opinion and he's entitled to it.
The same can be said about you.

If true, I vote for everyone wanting head work to go for the $299. head special (insert bargain basement deal here)......Anything more, you are a sucker, and you could have gotten the same results at a fraction of the cost.
Back to reality, Forget all Baisley's records and championships for a moment.....I am disappointed that someone, even another porter would throw shade on his product.
No one, I mean no product has zero issues. Trust me, It goes both ways, and builders, I always thought, never stepped on another builders toes.
I won't post that crap here about porters whose customers were pissed off (which may or may not be true, but it's some nasty stuff), as I don't go there, and will leave it at that as of now, but there has to be a level of respect in this industry...period.
There is plenty of business to go around.
Not!

Quite frankly, I am not surprised by the responses from the ambulance chasers and their loyal subjects, but I am extremely disappointed by some posts here by racers. Not only are those posts inaccurate and f-ucked up, but they are somewhat cowardly. To attack a fellow racer online, in a forum that he has never even heard of and therefore can't defend himself in, is low. Shame on you.

I tend to agree with industry businesses not commenting on each other BUT what if there's truth to the inconsistency claim? That would burn my *** if I paid for a level of work and it was NOT at the level purchased by someone else who had more clout in the race world. I am not in that track world (yet), so I don't pretend to know the ins and outs of that scene, but as a customer the fairness of consistency matters.

And there's nothing wrong with anyone on this OPEN forum to speak their experience or even post their opinion on products and services, so nobody should have to keep a lid on what they believe. This isn't goodfellas in hell's kitchen where if your caught talking you get whacked. People here can vocally promote or complain about work done, that's a forum right.

And not very cool to call others ambulance chasers. Social media is not only a smart place to drum up business, but it's now the leading median of marketing across the board all over the world and is here to stay.

There is a reason you don't see Dan Baisley on forums chasing work and why he has a longer wait, while so many others are on like five forums chasing jobs.

FWIW, I have personally installed and tuned some heads from the ambulance chaser crowd. NOT in the same league with Dan Baisley. Not even close.

If for some reason you decide against having Dan do your heads (I get the cost and time factor), good alternatives would be WFO Larry at Larry's Machine, Scott Palmer at Hillside and Zippers. Not in any particular order. These guys are also very good. Oops, forgot to include Andrew Rosa at Rosa's cycle. Another top notch shop.
Can't say I miss your passive aggressive hypocrisy. But go ahead and make sure you mention your list of head porters.

I find it a little heard to imagine that any one individual can make everything perfect all the time... If you remember there was one guy who tried, eventually he was put on a cross 2000 years ago...

Any ways people do have the right to air their laundry. I just hope those that do have a negative experience with a product make sure that all their components match the purpose.

You can put a great set of heads on any motor but don't expect the moon. To make these components play well together it takes a lot of trial and error as well as tuning to get it right. Let's face it, a lot of the performance builds out there really don't have good street manners. Most true head porters and builders have one thing in mind..... "TOP PERFORMANCE" ..... That's what sells, so don't be pissed if your performance motor doesn't perform perfectly on the street or it didn't meet your expectations.....

If your gonna use top notch heads you better have a very good understanding on how all the other parts will play.... Including combustion burn and piston dome shape,

I'm still super fine tuning my last build (Hillside) because street and strip are 2 different territories....

as said in one of the post`s on this thread,if anyone does plan on doing any drag racing,a worked crank (or S&S for bullet proof) is a must.even a crappy prepared drag strip will have much more bite than any street, and will find the weak links (F/W`s being the main one) very quick

My total rebuild started from a bad crank. I already know. Everything is S$S now. I'm good there.

Yea, I don't get out much these days. Glad to see the game hasn't changed.

As for my list of head porters, well yea, unlike many on sites like this, I would not recommend something or someone that I have not used. Thats one of the problems I have, and I suspect you do as well. Way too many online experts, that have really done very little, giving advice. I admire guys like you for continuing to engage in this type of stuff day after day.
