I have been offered an unused 103 kit - 29893-07A at a pretty good deal. When I researched the part number 29893-07B shows to be the latest product. Can someone please tell me what changed?
If you call the Harley corporate office they might have the answer. I have called and ask the same question on some parts. They told me a change in packaging could result in the letter change but part will be the same.
29893-07A 103 cyl 21966-07 flat top pistons hp clutch plate 178 kgf u HAVE TO BE HERCULIES TO PULL THIS LEAVER IN tried this kit and the plate way too stiff I put clutch plate from 2003 in was 134 kgf 255 cams, u will need decompression releases of some type manual or if u switch heads acr's this one doesn't appear to have se air cleaner and backing plate with it. this was from a se catalog 2011 I had
the 2015 doesn't show the 07B kit I imagine the discontinued it when the water age started, I'm missing 2012-2014 se parts book. site doesn't even pull up parts that are discontinued. I'm pretty sure its still the same kit, may have diff supplier of some of the parts, that's why the a-b change
the 29903-07a has all the same parts with addition of the se air cleaner

2009blackpearle, Yes, I tried the SE Clutch Spring with my Dyna build and went with a Scorpion Clutch. I too was surprised at the amount of effort needed with that spring.
Do you know what the difference is between these cylinders? 16546-99A and 16549-99A
heres page description. I debate the 100 hp plus as chart shows maybe with se heads or reworked heads will just get 100 at least it came close in my case 99.4 tq think hp was about 94 don't think stock heads will get 100 I had stock heads at first ran very well pulled good on hyway was great on hilly roads in Virginia, blue ridge mountains
one is black fins polished ends other is silver fins 16546-99 black
16549-99 silver 2011 book doesn't show a revision could be supplier or small design change
16500045 is black no polish on tips all black all over
not sure what u have to spend or end goal is . after the last se adventure, I just took off the bike mva heads I have all my stock 96 back on for a few months taking the 103 cylinders for the kit u mentioned earlier to get bored to 107 at hillside, still trying to round up a set of heads with electric acr's ports in head, ebay has lots but the exchange rate plus some of the ridiculous shipping fees killing that idea

I have been offered a complete SE Pro Stage II kit for $500. My plan is not to go for the 100hp+ as I did on my Dyna but I do want more than stock performance. Checking the Harley catalog and reading others build threads who used this kit I will be more than happy with the performance gains. The one thing I expect I will have to do is have the heads machined for compression release valves or substitute a set of S&S 583 EZ Cams. I have those on the Dyna and they work great!
