Oil Traces on Engine
Looking for some feedback on traces of oil I'm finding on the forward cylinder of my 1999 Fatboy. I've read the information on oil blow back and I doubt that' what I'm seeing.
I don't see any cracks, or obvious signs as to where specifically this is coming from but it's basically in the upper 1/4 of the forward cylinder cooling fins. You can also see where it's making its way below to rest on the oil filter and I'm getting some very fine mist traces on various points behind the engine, presumably from the wind while in motion. I'm not loosing any measureable oil level that I can see and in fact have not needed to add any oil since I got the bike last October.
I don't plan to stop riding but it would be nice to get some feedback on any potential catastrophic failure that might be lurking.

Oil is sneaky stuff, as once it gets hot it can travel far from where it started out, which can make finding the source a challenge. Clean up as best you can, then keep an eye out for the first signs of it returning. That may get you closer to finding the cause.
