Default Compression release
Does my 2012 Ultra classic have a compression release? If so, how do I check it for correct operation? My starting problems seem to be too much compression??? My battery checked out ok. Starter won't quite turn it fast enough to start when engine is hot.

Yes it has compression releases. Bend down and put your head near the bottom of the gas tank and then turn the ignition switch to run, you should hear a small click. That will be the releases opening up.

Perform compression check. Pull fuse or disconnect compression releases. Redo compression check.
