Just picked up a 1997 Ultra Ground Pounder with the 96" S&S engine. Front rocker box is leaking, has the cast 3 piece set.
Was told that the Harley Evo gaskets are the same and will work. Is this true ?
Will order a set of James gaskets once I know for sure.
Thanks

If they are SnS rocker boxes, they were typically 2 piece.. If what you have is 3 chances are they likely use HD gaskets.. Unfortunately there are 2 types that can be used.. BT evo and Sportster evo. I've seen after market big twins use both..
i have several of these that come through my shop, all with the 3 peice box set have used the evo bt gaskets,,,,when i worked at the UMC delaer, we used the James gaskets and they worked just fine,,,the newer style gaskets work even better than the old silicone and paper ones too.

Cometic makes great gaskets but if you're going to get the umbrella valves get them directly from HD the green ones they're the best and will Outlast anything on the market..
