I would also get pricing for the conversion. Grinding a one off cam once isn't cheap.
Yes I am sure that it won't be cheap but Perfection never is. Agree? this is just one option, I have yet to make contact with the cam manufacturer of whose cam it is that I am interested in to find out an important piece of information. As far as the conversion goes, I am in the process of putting together a 124 from scratch, old style cams work just fine my friend.

No doubt. I have several engines with old style. But it sounds like you have a new style cam in mind, and you want to get those cam specs from the guy that designed them so you can use those specs to make an old style cam. I'd be curious how this works out.

Today I made contact with people to see if I can get that camshaft that I want in the specifications that I need. Hopefully it works out, but one never knows. Doesn't look like that it will be cheap either way, but oh well.

I just got off the phone with Black Widow and the cams that I want are being build as I type this. He was able to do the conversion no problem. The cams that are being ground for me will be almost identical to the cams that I wanted imitated. He's the grinder, I will trust what he does with it.
