Sorry, I meant on the stage 4 , stock crank. I was into my extended warranty and they gave me 2200 site unseen when my builder called it in. No inspector showed up to even look.
Nothing is gonna last if you beat the **** out of it.. Been there, done that....... Your trying to pack a lot of power to a lot of weight what do think is gonna happen.. guys that treat they're motors like that are tearing them down on a regular basis.... Power is awesome.. we all want it... However you're gonna have to make sacrifices if you want to keep that regiment..... And by the way... NOTHING is BULLET PROOF.........
Trust me I know anything can break. But I like power, and lots of it. So we are going to start with an S&S Stroker Crank and Revolution Performance will machine and upgrade case. That's as Bulletproof as I can make it.

why not go with a 117" from HD at time of delivery to get a 7yr / unlimited mile warranty on it?
Honestly, I had a FM 107 in my NT and it was a good engine but really wasn't anything amazing. Big engines and huge power seems like a bit of a waste in these chassis.
Whenever I got into my 107 hard, the shitty suspension would let me know I was on the ragged edge way way before the 107 started to wheeze.
That's why I went 117 this time from day 1 with warranty.
Well my Breakout was a 103 to begin with not the 110. Screamin Eagle has the 110” Shredder kit which has thin wall cylinder spikets that slipped into the stock case. The whole issue with my bike was I road hard and the crank started to run out. Which will then take out the oil pump and game over. Though I have a friend that did the 117 kit on his 110 Slim S. He now wishes we knew that the cranks are **** and in time run themselves to death. We both would have had the cranks and Timken bearings done at the time of upgrades.

Don't let the internet be your main decision maker though... I remember all the sky is falling posts from 2007-2009 about how the cranks will scissor and so on.
I don't know of a single person who had their twin cam crank blow up. Remember HD sells a **** ton of bikes and these forums have a couple thousand members? and a handful of them swear the cranks are bad? Cmon.
My personal 96" had 20,000+ on it with zero issues. Went to a FM 107". 3 years later and another owner. Still no issues.
I beat the CRAP out of that engine because I had the big warranty. I believed all the stories about the crank and thought the engine would surely let go and I could get a fresh engine under warranty. Never happened.
So try and keep it real by riding your bike and not believing everything you read. You see it on every single forum for everything with wheels.
Also, the people who scream the loudest about bad cranks also want to sell you something...

Long story short is the crank went bad. Between the 110 Shredder kit and me rompin on it, the crank scissored. I did not see the oil pump yet to see how close it all was to total destruction. Here again is the runout .015
With the bottom end coming out for repair, now was the time to upgrade to a stroker crank, bearings and bore.
