Twin Cam Engine in M8 Frame?
Have a 2017 FLHXS, and I simply hate how it sounds. Can't trade or sell the bike, will lose my butt. So I am wondering if I can pull the M8 and install a Twin Cam like the 120" from HD or the 124" from S&S. Will the tranny line up, what about the engine mounts and wiring harness, computer?
Short answer is no. Have you put a full header on the m8? D&D billet cat, thunderheader, fuel moto, are a few that make pipes for the m8.

I have fuel moto header, rhineharts and stage 1 with tuning. Still sounds like a sewing machine.

Hate the way it sounds so you want to take a step backwards and drop $8k on a look at me bigger dick motor for dragging rights, am I getting this right ? Just want to make sure here ...

I don't want to take any steps back...I love everything about my bike except the sound. I think I'm going to experiment with some different exhausts to see if I find something I like. Thanks.
