Default 54H vs 48H

So I have done a lot of research. I am debating on either Andrews 54H or 48H. I ride between 2000-5000 normally. I ride pretty hard and solo. I really want the woods Tc-222 or TC-555 but the price for Andrews just fits me better. Please let me know if you have any input.

What motor? Need more info....
The 54 needs 10.2:1 minimum compression, the 48 is a great bolt in low end cam...

Not sure what cam comes in the HO 103. So I can't suggest an improved performance cam only upgrade...

Slip-ons?

I have seen dyno charts showing nice gains with the CR 570-2 in these motors

keep a watch on Ebay, I picked up a set of 222's for $270.00 including a set of night prowler lifters which I sold for 50 bucks. the cams were like new, only reason did not use lifters is already had bought a set of S&S premiums. love the cams, no need to mess with compression and Jamie at fuel moto sent me a good program for the power vision.
also there was a guu on the forum that had a set of woods 555's for sale but have not looked recently.

I have the 48H in my FXDL and love it. Top end was a bit lacking with the slip on, as the CAT was in the headpipe and was really limiting top end performance. Installed a RB Racing pipe and the top end picked up a lot. All in all,IMO it's a great cam. Bought the pipe and the cam used, from the classifieds on this forum.

I have a local guy in SW Oklahoma who says he can get me a good deal on S&S cams. Does anyone have any experience with them? From what I have seen either the 551, 557 or 570. Anyone know about these?

Out of the three the 570 will give the best bang for the buck. The 103 has a little too much compression for the 551 and I don't think the 557 is any has any more performance than your current stock cam... The 570 is a good choice...

I did the 48s in my 103. Big improvement over stock. I think you’ll get a little more out of the 222.
