HTCC piston question
I got a set of nos 95" SE domed htcc pistons for practically nothing. 10.5-1 comp. PN 2246-00A
My question is do I have to get htcc heads to use these? I'd rather not have to use them and just go with a port and polish on a set of stock heads.

I wonder why? Or is it just the moco trying to sell THEIR heads with THEIR pistons. Kind of like them telling you if you go with SE pipes you have to get an SE tune..... I'd be curious to know.

Semi-mirror image of the combustion chamber shape.
HD mothballed that head/piston combo after customer beta-testing proved to be prone to many things, and big power wasn't one of them.
The heads alone, after some work, DO rip the hp, however.

Don't throw them away, many of those old builds still in service, from what I have seen around 30 thousand miles and they start to piston slap pretty bad. Put them on ebay, someone will want them.

but you 100% have to run them with htcc heads correct? There is no way around this? Is it a clearance issue?

Scott dealt with that at post #4. Your stock heads have bath-tub combustion chambers, not part spherical ones that match your pistons.
