in the past 2 months my father had a stroke while outside of the country, I had to travel to Spain to see him (He's making a full recovery) then had to deal with a stomach infection and parasite and now an injured rotator cuff in right shoulder.
sorry guys, I started a thread that really went no where fast, once I have real work done ill be sure to post
Well, it's been 2 years since the last post in here and it is due for an update.
Last fall I ditched the vance and hines pipes for a white brothers E series pipe. Great improvement for torque and I had also added a 21 tooth primary sprocket. From light to light the bike is pretty quick compared to its stock form and even vs the prior to changes.
shes in pieces right now but I have just installed some cp carrillo 10:1 forged pistons (+3cc) 3.937 bore.
I'm about to clean up a set of tc96 heads to put on it as they flow 10% better then tc88 heads.
I cleaned up some roug areas around the valves and added a V shape ahead of valve stem on the intake side. This will be as far as i go with porting my own heads. Im sure it could be very easy to F this up in a hurry if i go to far. Time will tell if i did the right thing or not. New valve seals and the correct intake flanges have been ordered.
You should have that, with great torque delivery, but that 37 in a plug/play 88", would have been an absolute turd of biblical proportion.

I think my white brothers E series will complement the complete project very well.
I measured deck height today; 0.005" deep in the front cylinder, 0.009" deep in the rear. (Measured without gasket, did not include a hypothetical gasket for that measurement either.
This tells me that in perfect conditions my cylindes will be within 3lbs of pressure, or 1.7% of eachother.
I plan to pick up .030 and .040" gaskets, will measure actual cylinder pressure with the 30s in first, if pressure is top high, I'll go with 40s.
The E series pipe will work very well.........once the correct number of plates is established via dyno tuning.
Maintain the closed end cap at all costs.
We have EXTENSIVE dyno tuning time/knowledge with those, and Supertrapp pipes.

I just got a hold of cometic gasket today to order my top end rebuild, 5 weeks to ship.... I'm not a happy camper. Going to do more searching tommorow.
if anyone knows where I can pick up some .030", 3.937" bore, twin-cam, head gaskets, chime in.
Today i put new valve seals in and reinstalled the lapped valves. Measured cylinder head volume. 86cc. Now om waiting on a gasket kit before i can move any further.
