Default Spark plug and tire rotation

What happens if you rotate you rear tire while on a lift without taking the spark plugs out?
I was trying to adjust the primary chain (manual adjuster) with the deluxe on motorcycle lift. In an attempt to take several readings of the slack, I rotated the tire. It was not smooth and requires considerable effort to rotate.
Should the spark plugs have been taken out?
How much damage, and to what components may have this caused because I had to muscle the tire rotation.
Thanks!

NO damage what so ever!!!

Taking out the plugs just makes it easier as there is no compression.

IDK,
You for sure took the slack out of the chain , top or bottom depending on which way you advance the mechanical assemble whilst churning the wheeleth.
Something to meditate upon,
Being the igniter plugs are laid to the side of the assembly, it should not be presumed FOD was not vacuumed into one pr both reciprocating power chambers.
FOD here is always a concern!.
It is a funny thing by nature to watch -
people pay hundreds of dollars for these shety air filter yet do not mind advancing the idea of Fod dwn the holes during maintenance

Help me out in understanding this please.
How different is this than moving the bike around without starting it?
I have seen mechanics do that all the time while trying to reposition the bikes in their shop.
The spark plugs are in and the bikes are be pushed around. Isn't that the same thing as putting a bike on a lift and rotating the tires as if it is moving in the forward direction with spark plugs still connected?

Uhhhhh... they put the bike in neutral, thus disengaging the engine from the motion of the rear wheel?

another guy who should use a shop. Don't forget to rotate the plugs when you take them out. By the way I always take my spark plugs out when I take my bike for a walk, makes it easer to push?????????????
