Default Question on Rocker Locker install

I'm about to install Rocker Lockers and can't find info on if I can install them without removing the whole rocker box.
Every video shows them being installed on the bench.
And what gaskets will need replacing?
It's a 94 FXSTC

Yes you have to totally remove the rocker assembly to install..

What cam and lifters are you running...? Stock valve springs? What other mods?.. typically don't need them for an Evo....

The engine's stock. I really don't want to pull the boxes as I didn't get all the gaskets. Plus Murphy's been hanging around lately.

Obviously you have a ticking noise if you want to do the rocker lockers, but if everything is still stock I would definitely be looking at lifters and they're usually the first thing to go. At one point I was told by one of the builders on here that there was a bulletin for service wear limits on the lifters of 25,000 so if you're up there and it's noisy it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them.. adjustable pushrods also make a nice difference...

I'm a fair weather rider, to be honest. Plus being self employed where summer is my busy time and living in the North East the season's short, so even though the bike's 25 years old
and I'm the 3rd owner, it only has 5000 +/- miles on it (when I bought it the odometer read 128 miles and it's to clean to have flipped). Though I think it's a new speedo and the odometer is wrong,
I can't prove it. The first 2 title holders were both body shops, could have been the same owner who filed Chapter 11 and did a name change on the body shops (the shops held the title).
The Rocker Lockers are in, new bars are on, new clutch cable, wires extended (soldered, heat shrink and new crimp on connectors for the OEM Molex connectors), new top end gaskets.
The engine is super quiet, even when it's running (that's a joke). All you hear is exhaust.

My advice is always brutally honest with yourself as to where you want the bike to be.
This eliminates extra cash for other products again and again.
If mileage is questionable this is a great time to replace lifters with a better product whilst you have it apart.
Ok, might as well do a cam and bearing too!
It is a slippery slope.
