Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
No you guys are truly missing the point
As in-
Porting where?
raised ports?
sized where?
what kind of cam .
Anyone can add displacement-I was hoping we could exchange some real ideas what was actually done,
What actually worked in the details, not the globs of added parts so much to get more power.
I did my best to show an example above, - detailed example.
Your tricks ?
1. in the head.. depends on the build
2. If u got em, use em. I don't weld heads.
3. somewhere between 1.62 intake to 1.82. (haven't lager port sizes as manifold head junction changes) Throat, 89 to 92% valve size
4. depends on the build. Don't like mouse cams.
Only tricks I got is use a flow bench, taper cut 7 mm guides in the head (they don;t have any taper in the port side) with a goodson trimming tool.
