The 27 really wants more compression to show it's true worth.
An EV13 is a better choice in a plug/play only upgrade, resulting in more, sooner.

Another option would be to find a set of Screaming Eagle heads They will make a nice difference and will bring the compression up to 9.5:1 bolt on.. And you can still use the OEM pushrods....

With the intake closing number of 36 degrees, that 27 warrants 9.6-9.8 cr to be truly effective.
A Crane 300 was THE best plug/play cam ever conceived, from our testing.
No longer available, thus the reason for the EV-13 recommendation, as that was the closest in overall ouput.

If everyone loves the specs for the Crane,- why not just have Webb cam or the like
make it or reprofile a core?

EVL-3010 OR EVL-3030 From Vthunder. Great drop in cams and strong increases over the factory.
