The releases themselves are usually $30-$50 a piece depending on what kind you get. You can shop around online and get them even cheaper. I would recommend those with the plastic cap, usually offered in any color. I had a friend all about chrome go with chrome cap ones and those are what burn the sh*t out of your finger on a long day of riding.
As for the machining it its quick and easy for them and I think the going rate around here is $40 a pop.

$290 was from RC... So far talked to Livermore H-D, RC Cycles and HK Cycles. Everyone wants $200 to drill.

Amazon has the entire Jims C.R. Tool Set for $330.00.

Search for "JIM1169"

Get a Digital Vernier Caliper from Harbor Freight for $15.91 ($18.99 - 20% Coupon) borrow a Drill from a friend and you'll be all set.

This job is NOT rocket science and when you're done I'm pretty sure you'll be able to resell the Tool Set for at least 50% of what you paid for it.

I've even attached a 20% HF Discount Coupon for your use!
