Good morning , I just picked up an old chopper with a weird motor on it. I'm looking to see if anyone has any info on it. It has a shovel bottom, and an evo top ,but has four spark plugs. Teo on each side. The heads look like a factory casing not homemade. The old owner said it's a shovelution. Where can I learn more about it and also find a casting number on it? Thanks
It wouldn't be impossible to put an Evo top end on a Shovel bottom since they use the same base cylinder hole pattern and single cam valvetrain geometery. Combine that with a crafty machinist who's capable of adding a spark plug to the cylinder head (also not too difficult) and Bob's your Uncle.

We ran STD 5 bolt oval port heads on our 108" Shovel cyls/lower end AHDRA racer.
Changed cam/lifter blocks/lifters/exhaust...........picked up 30 hp over what we had.
Not made in China.
