Default 2004 88ci Rebuild advice

Hey guys, in the process of rebuilding a 88ci carb engine.. rebuilding as had a bent crank shaft,

thinking of putting an s&s crankshaft, big bore kit (98”) cams, lifters..

would a stroker crank also be an option?

What would I need to do with carb/ fuel?

Any my advice would be awesome!

go with a 4.375" S&S crank & a 107" big bore kit,a S&S G carb or 48mm mikuni would work perfect

Yea, if you're doing anything with the crank just go with a new, stroker crank. The 107" kit is for starters.

On many occasions, that is how we address those.
4 3/8" crank, and bore to 3.937".
Makes lemonade, from the lemons.

I think your talking about the Timken bearing upgrade. You can try this place in New South Whales, "Rollies Speed Shop". They are an S&S dealer.. Not sure if they have a machine shop but they might be able to steer you in the right direction....

Yes I think it is the tikem bearing.. what’s the advantage of that? It’s a fxdx dyna. Riding style would be I’d say more topend power an higher revving...
