Default 96in motor?

I can pick up a 96in motor for next to nothing.... Low miles.

Now here's my question... Will it bolt into an 01 frame? And tranny? Then since it is a TC, will my mods work? Cams push rods, carburetor intake?

This would be a lot cheaper than the head job that I am thinking about doing.....

Thanks

Primary side setup is different, so no.

Twin Cam A motor?

NO

The engine and transmission cases are different on the A motor (among other things). A post 2007 A motor (2006 for Dyna) won't bolt up to your previous generation. Later A motors use a pass thru oiling system as opposed to external hoses. Below is a pic of the pass thru oil system on the 4 3/8" stroke Twin Cams.
