The body.. The service wear limit is .003" for lifter fit to the bore of the lifter block.. As far as I know the lifter diameter is .842".

91-99 are the .903, 2000 and later are the smaller .842. all the lifters in one engine are the same size not a mix of the 2. if your engine cases are 91-99 you use the larger diameter .903....if your engine cases are 2000 and later ( i dont know what year this stops at) the lifers are the .842. hope that clears that up.
early (first and second gen) twin cam lifters are of the .842 variety.
