intake manifold 99flstf
This may be a stupid question but does anyone know what size a stock manifold is for a 99 evo softtail? I'd like to get a new carb and want one that will slide into the existing intake.
Mods should have moved this to the Evo section.
What makes you think you need a new carb? There's nothing wrong with the Keihin CV that came on the bike. At most, pull it apart, give it a good clean, replace all the soft bits and you're golden.
There are two popular aftermarket carbs. The Mikuni will use your stock manifold. The S&S comes with it's own manifold.

my original keeps over flowing. I change out everything and was careful with the correct float position but still no success. Maybe I had the wrong rebuild kit? Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm building a chopper but you can probably guess I'm not a mechanic.
Take a Q-Tip, dip it in polishing compound, then use it to polish the seat where the needle valve lands.

Get your carb parts from a good source, Omaha has you pointed in the right direction with CV Performance.
There are a lot of substandard parts out there on the internet, especially Carb stuff.
