Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
My 2010 Dyna is stalling at idle and surging at low rpms. Intially I thought it was bad gas. It was not. Next I replaced the throttle position sensor and the engine temperature sensor. Nah. Not throwing codes but check engine light does come on but not always. My next step is to check fuel pump and line. Any thoughts? Running power commander v as well if that helps.
oh, sometimes when sputtering at idle throttle has slow to no response for a second when trying to accelerate. Help!
new problem, when on run position fuel pump primes for a considerable amount more. Whines a little bit louder as well

Try cleaning the IAC. Google how to do it. Maybe could have saved you from throwing parts at the bike.
As for your second problem you could be on the right track. Pinholes in the fuel line inside the tank is a common thing after a few years.
What? Johnny H.......you come in here and ask a question right off. Don't we get a kiss or sum'ting 1st mate? Huh.

It is optional my friend but you can click HERE and that will take you to our Welcome Area Only where you can introduce yourself as well as several of us would like to welcome you here.
That is also where you see the HDF rule. On the upper portion of the Welcome Area Only where the Stickys are. Like where to post what.
See below, this little chart thingy here is just for you mate.

This chart will help you post in the right forum.
Just my opinion, but that seems like a pretty harsh welcome. The welcome area is optional. I, for one, welcome his question.
To the OP——as suggested, clean the IAC and make sure the rubber cap is still on the vacuum port on top of the throttle body.
Good idea to check fuel pressure as well.
As has been suggested, clean IAC and check fuel pressure. If this problem does not present with a full tank but does when tank is half full, pin hole in fuel line is likely.
