Have a 2010 Ultra Classic. Went to a solid idle today and the check the check engine light came. Pulled over and checked the codes and this is what I got: "d1A9". When I try to clear I get: "no rSP". Was able to clear them and let it cool off; then winged it home. When I turned the last corner to head to the house, I opened the throttle up quite a bit, and it sputtered and went back to the solid idle and check engine. Same codes showed up. Called the almighty Harley Shop just to get a better handle on what the codes mean, and was told "can't really tell what the codes mean unless I am looking at he bike". I get it; they want to fix it and make a dollar. Can anyone offer any insight on these codes, and if it requires a Genuine H/D Mechanic to fix to correct it?
d1A9 is not a code. What your actually seeing is "diag" for diagnosis. You need to delve further to retrieve the codes.
Sounds to me like it went into Limp Mode. Check the Throttle Control Actuator. It's at 9oclock on your throttle body. Unplug it and plug it back up several times and add some dielectric grease to it as well.

I will check the Throttle Control Actuator tomorrow, and grease it as you said. Will see if that works and then get back to you. Thanks for your help. Dg
