Hi al,l need help i have been getting sputtering some times at idle it will sputter and bog out and also some times sputter and blow out at the carb when ridding then i throttle up and it will go away and it will happen again at some point

oh sorry did not mention it is a 2006 Road King EFI

Sounds like a lean condition.
EFI dyno tuning would be our approach, once we determine all else is sound.

First off you state "blow out at the carb" but as I recall no 2006 models had a carb. If it's EFI, has it always done this or is it something new? 2006 was a bastard year that had low speed running issues and HD use to replace the injectors and calibration for free in them. The free replacement has long since passed, so your on your own. The original bikes had an injector part number that ended in -06 and the replacement injectors are -06A. These are two completely different injectors and require a different calibration. Your going to have to check yours and see what you have before doing anything else.

Intake leak, screws with all the sensors needed to balance the EFI. Changing spark plugs wouldn't hurt either.
