Default Cranks, but will not run

Good evening everyone. I have a 14 street bob and just replaced the drive belt after having it snap while on the road. Bike is back together and everything looks and feels good. Went to start it and it cranked over twice before misfire. Looked at wiring to make sure all was good. Went to start again but only cranks, engine turns over and tries to start but just cranks and pops every few cycles of the cylinders. Not sure where to go from there. Tried doing research but only getting info for crank no start, but most deal with starter issues or plugs. Nothing really involving replacement of belt and now crank non start (running). Any info would be great. Thank you.

What all did you take off or disconnect before swapping out the belt?

Sounds like plug wires are backwards. Were they disconnected during the belt change process?
