Is there a trick to getting the oil lines back in to tank? Changed starter clutch and put everything back together and hard lines were REALLY difficult to get back in.
Like they were lining up crooked. I had the oil tank loose and the rear exhaust loose. I killed one of the o rings trying and have a leak now.
I got new o ring kit at dealer and their service guy recommended putting O rings and spacer on the hose end 1st instead of in the tank like manual and all the videos show.
what say you guys?
I had the same problem. I ordered a new OEM clip and the new clip came with a plug, o-rings and spacer. You push the plug, clip, o-rings and spacer into the tank and then remove the plug. This plug sets the o-rings and spacer into the correct position in the tank. Then the oil line assembles into the tank hole very easily,.
Cap/plug is just for transport
Remove plug , slide onto oil line push oil line with plug installed into tank , You may have to gently man handle oil line to line it up
That is not correct the plug is used to insert the clip, o-rings and spacer. You put the assembly into the the tank, then remove the plug. This leaves the clip, o-ring ans spacer installed in the tank. Then just insert the tube into the clip.

Correct or not It's worked for me every time on several occasions , Any way if you knew , Why Ask?
P.S. Thanks
