Thank you all for the help. I did get the new parts with the installation tool attached. I ended up placing the washers and spacer in the tank by hand as the tool never "clicked" in and would leave o rings crooked. I had to seriously "manhandle" the line to get it to go straight into tank. Seems like factory bend at end is too sharp. And I did try placing parts on the line and putting them in with it, but I couldn't get it to seat that way.
In case anyone ever has this issue and gets this far into this thread...
I've had to take the oil tank out 3 times now total to get my leak fixed. The trick is undoing the lines with tank slightly loosened as it gives enough room to pull the lines out, but not so much as it gets sloppy and moves all over.
The trick to putting them back is to have the oil tank in place but completely free and able to tip front to back to enable the lines to go perpendicular into the tank. When installing do vent (inside) line 1st.
