Default Lifters 99 TC 88

I have a 99 electra glide classic EFI 57.000 miles. I installed the Fueling HE+ cam chest kit with Andrews 26N Cams and Fueling He+ lifters, Cobra FI2000 tuner , V&H true duals and V&H slash cut slip on and Timken Inner Cam Bearings. My Problem is the lifters slid smoothly out from the top when I tore down the motor but when I went to install the lifter the front exhaust lifter goes about halfway and stops on both cylinders. Any ideas or suggestions am I missing something ?

Yes I used a 6inch scale to measure the amount the lifter protrudes from the bore and cycled the engine lifter does not move, I have inspected the bore very clean no scratches burrs or gouges I must be getting the lifter cocked while installing or something as it came out very smooth.

You used the wrong screw length on the cam plate.

He makes a very good point. Check the bores for dents.

The problem is typically getting the cover screws and cam plate screws mixed. Cam cover are 1 1/4" long while the cam plates are 1". This has happened more than once.

New cases unless a really good machinist can sleeve it and it's not too damaged to do that.
