Default Stupid question

I have adjustable push rods in my twin cam when I pulled the top end apart I pulled them out like you would stock ones to save time. I did not take them out of adjustment and labeled them. Is there any reason not to put them back in like that? To save time on adjusting them

If you are sure you can put the top end back together exactly the same with the same type of gaskets and the tolerances are exactly the same, should be no issue.

However, if it was me I would adjust the push rods. The time you save not adjusting them may cost you more time and $$$ in the long run if you have to tear apart the top end again. Just my $00.02 worth.

i see no issue since the lifter allows for slight variances, assuming they were set correctly before.

Default OEM pushrods

if you were working with the non adjustable push rods, you would exactly the same thing, remove them, re-install them. I see no difference as long as they were done properly the first time.

That is the question. Where they adjusted properly to begin with. Why insert them again without checking them?
