1995 Road King vibration
1995 Road King has a vibration at 1200 to 1500 rpm only. It is very noticeable in the handlebars and seat. It doesn't do it at idle or after 1500 rpm's. The bike doesn't have to be moving, just running. I can make it do it by moving the throttle slightly above idle, but I have to find the little sweet spot. I have changed the front motor mount and it made no difference. When riding the bike the only time I feel it is when first taking off and at the end of a decel. I checked inside the primary for loose compensator, chain condition and adjustment. If I grab the clutch shell by the ring gear, I can move it in and out maybe 1/32 of an inch. I was wondering if anyone here has seen this before and found the problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, the bike is new to me. I noticed the vibration right away after buying it and was advised to try a new front motor mount, which I replaced. I have owned a few rubber mounted Harleys but have never had this particular vibration. I know the Evo motors shake, that's normal, but this one only has this weird vibration from 1200-1500 rpms and it's not the normal type of vibration. This vibration makes the gas tank and handlebars shake pretty bad but only at that rpm range, it feels like a bad harmonic balancer in car language. Should there be any play when you pull on the clutch hub? I'm not sure, but I would think no. Thanks for your reply!.
