Default 2017 Breakout Swap 103 with 114

Been searching the forum and I have come up empty so far. I apologize if my skills have failed me and this a beat to death topic.

Breakout looks like what I want it too. On to performance.

I'm just going to ask. Is it feasible (with enough money and time you can do anything) to swap my 103 with a 114. The ultimate goal would be to upgrade to the 131. Why? I just want to. ha ha Understanding this isn't as easy as changing break pads, will a 114 drop into a 2017 Breakout Frame?

Feel free to bash away if this is in the top 5, "WTF ARE YOU A MORON!!" category.

Thank you.

If 131" is the ultimate goal, don't bother with the middle step to 114"; save the bucks and move to 131" when funds are available.

If you just have to spend some money now to upgrade the performance of the 103: motor, consider boring to 107", head work, cams, better exhaust, fuel management and tune. A healthy 107" motor will run with and probably away from the factory 114" motor. Food for thought.

I completely follow this. In the research I have been doing a 103 can't be made into a 131 because the 131 is built off the M8 engine (if this is incorrect let me know). For my 2017 the M8 wasn't an option. Will an M8 fit into my 2017 frame. If so then the 131 is possible. This won't happen over night BUT if I happened to stumble across a wreck bike with, lets say a 114 in it for cheap, i could plop that in my 2017, romp in it for a while, then convert to 131.

All that being said, my initial question should have been, will a 114 fit in 2017 Breakout.

I like this idea also. Thank you!

If I just had to do something like that, I'd purchase an S&S 124 or 143 that will drop in to the frame. S&S says the 143 will make 162 RWHP and 151 RWTQ. It would be hard to beat that for less money. Stock cases are weaker so boring for larger cylinders won't help improve that. And you could likely sell your current engine to reduce the cost a little.

If you really just want an M8 engine, sell your current bike and buy a new bike with the M8 engine that has warranty.

thanks,
Paul

My how times have changed, remember when getting your hands on a 74" ment you had the biggest dick on the block.

Big motors are just like having that huge dick, you're only going to be able use so much of it

You answered your own question...with enough time and money it is possible. Is it the easiest path? Probably not. I think Scott from hillside has a 130 something twin cam...stroker with the appropriate case work. If you're serious I'd call him
