Bearings should be replaced at mile 1,no need for the pump & plate, nothing's wrong with the OEM parts

lol...exactly what I was thinking...blew 650 bucks on replacing parts that are more than adequate but can't get past 20 dollars for a known weak part? Come on man lol.

It's easy to spend other people's money. As has been said, no need to replace the cam plate and pump; more than adequate for the application. If the parts have not been installed, return them and spend the money on the Powervision and tune.

Why? Because it looks purtty? Always someone throwing this waste of $$$ advice out there in a cam thread. Lotta $$$ to **** away needlessly that could be spent on something worthwhile.

Bearings are dirt cheap and easy to do. It's a no brainer.

I tuned S&S cams just fine with the SE Pro Super Tuner, btw. But if you're looking to replace it, I'd go with the TTS Mastertune. The PV might be easier to use for many here, doesn't make it better tho. Most confuse FM's base map support for it with it being a better tuner. Base map support from a third party or vendor isn't necessary with the TTS. It is for the PV. Just my

If you can find a tuner with a dyno that tunes with the SE Pro Super Tuner, it's more than capable. Maybe a little trickier on your own tho because of base maps only being available for SE cams and other harware.
But keep in mind, these are only base calibrations no matter what tuner. Including the ones you get from FM for the PV. They're not a finished tune. That requires a dyno or smart tuning/v-tuning whatever the term for each tuner done on your own for YOUR bike.

Had TTS on a couple bikes in past, most excellent tuner.
Used PV on last two also excellent, but I like the RPM & MPH on PV up on the bars for easy glance.

On changing cam bearings, usually your new cams have higher lift than stock, putting more pressure on the stock bearings. An upgrade will pay itself back many times over. As mentioned above, you should be able to rent a blind hole bearing puller from Autozone or others, so no great added expense.
