Default Damaged CKP

Can anyone tell what caused my CKP to be damaged inside the motor and how to fix the issue?

I just love it when someone abbreviates and we're all left guessing as to what they're referring to!

Broken parts in the crank case or a twisted crank.

I don’t know either. I hate acronyms.

CKP is the correct H-D abbreviation for the CranK Position sensor. If it was not hit as Max said, the other common reason is a sumped engine and they swell up and burst from sitting in hot oil.
