Is there a chance you can post a video of the noise. As for your 266 cam that is not a "Mid" cam. With a LSA of 111* it's all Mid to Hi rpm.. And as others have stated I doubt it's the cams. The woods 9B is more aggressive and can be tamed no problem...

The 266 should not be anymore noisier than the 640 or 622-3. My bet would be too heavy of springs.

Today, after a conversation with my mechanic, I have decided to discontinue any further work on this bike, with the exception of routine maintenance items. We decided that trying to change cams to oem, or any other cam, would be of little or no benefit, and would negate any benefits gained from the work already done. Also, attempting to find the existing noises would be like going down different rabbit holes, with no guarantees of success. This venture was taking too much of my time and being unproductive. However, I wish to thank everyone for their input.

Without a video there's no way for anyone to think it's anything but normal so probably a good idea.

I have quieted those heads and that cam by changing to AV&V 6500's. Can be performed without removing heads.
