Default Would you run these cams?

Got my 2000 wide glide cam chest tore apart to replace the tensioners, took some pics of the stock cams on the bike. Around 22,000 miles on the bike want to see what you guys think of these...safe to run? I already ordered new lifters from Larry's machine. The 2313 stock lifters, I'll be using my stock pushrods as well since I disassembled the rocker boxes to replace a leaky gasket. Also ordered Timken inner cam bearings as well

Nope. It's apart I'd upgrade them I was in there. Nothing crazy. Just a little more grunt is all. I'd also upgrade the cam plate to add the newer style hydraulic cam chain tensioners.

ah. Gotcha. Do what you can afford but don't scrimp on the things you cant afford to overlook.

I'd be afraid those frosted lobes will prematurely put a hurting on the new lifters. I'm sure someone here has a decent set of cams you can snag on the cheap.

I have never put a stock cam back in any motor that had been dissembled enough to have the cam in my hands. Once removed, stock cams go on the shelf, not back in the motor. Don't go crazy, just a little more is good enough. Good luck.

One of my local Indy's advertises take off cams for sale at like $50 pair. He usually has lots of 103HO cams which would be a good upgrade, but don't think they fit 88" motors.

Andrews 48 all the way buddy. Andrews 48 camshaft. Call Fuel Moto, call Hillside Cycles in New York. Do your due diligence, talk to a few reputable builders, and then make up your mind. Don’t get in a hurry because this could cost you money in the long run. Just saying.,,,,,,,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
