Thanks all. Yes, I guess it fell down when cutting the pushrods, and it would have been leaking oil if it was down there before that. Now it is straightened out.
Yep, it could have fallen down there when the pushrod was cut. But one must actually squeeze the o-ring to an oval shape and then push it through the hole for it to get down there. It made me quite puzzled to find the o-ring there - kind of mysterious...
It's not really that hard. If the O ring was loose when someone cut push rod pushed the oring through the hole while pulling or working the parts.
