Broke a spring in the rear head and replaced them with the AV&V springs.
Was told there good for a 600 lift.
I did the Fuel moto 107 and put woods 555 cams in it.
Set the pushrods to 4 turns and 2 flats.
But still get a tick any ideas?
Do you think its the springs slapping back faster than stock and thats what the tick is from?
I also put fueling lifters as well because I know your going to ask.
I just added 2 flats to each pushrod it helped.
But im really thinking its the valve springs are so much stronger than stock there closeing way faster .
And thats where some of the noise is.
I think over time it will get better once they get broken in so to speak.
Probably hearing the valves smacking shut harder with those springs. Did you put rock outs/rocker lockers in? Seems rather senseless not to when pulling the rocker arm assemblies given the cost and Harley's propensity to the shafts hitting the bolts and causing noise.
Its an automatic upgrade noise or not for me.
Yes got rocker lockers in it.
And im thinking the same about the valves smaking shut fast.
Also going to get rid of the woods cams and put in fueling 574 cams next month also had a set of heads rebuilt with new AV&V guides valves and springs.

While woods cams CAN be noisy, I don't think the 555s are and I'm not a fan of those feuling cams. Pretty lackluster cam. Going from the 555s to feuling 574s will cost you in the low end. Sure hope you plan on a compression bump to go with them. Even then there's much better choices. The Tman 590s would be way better.
