With an 08 96 ci motor you don't need compression releases.. Replace your battery, maybe add some 4 gauge cables.

I've got a 07 egc, 107 ci 10.4 to 1 motor and with a good battery, I don't use the releases.

have hot start kickback, has occurred even w/ new battery. blipping starter remedies it, but not a real solution. Have pondered EZ start cams

picked bike up w/ 5k on sale years back. has done it since I've owned it. You have any other ideas what the issue may be?

When bike cools (like sitting at a bar for 30 mins), fires up w/ no kickback.

Should add, does not happen every time I fire up when hot, maybe every 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

I assumed so when buying. It has no major git up and go so I can't imagine a cam was put in it in 5k.

It has no CAT in the main pipes, I am unsure if 08's had those stock or not (my '12 does). I've added some VH slip ons, thats it.
