What I figured would happen, bummer man sorry you got tagged.
Yea I didn't even make it a month, not they trying to pay me for just the rear top end but now i got to redo the whole thing because none of it was stock. But they wanted the part back and told me they dont see how a spark plug could do all that n that they dont see themselves paying for my bike to be how i had it. I see it cant believe it tho but it happened.

Either the spark plug came loose or crush washer gave out.. Either way I would not run one of these..
Combustion pressures are 1000 to 2000 PSI peak at WOT, You have voluum in the device which means there will be flow in and out of semi hot gases. The gases can be abrasive / corrosive.
I have a done a number of bikes with regular compression releases. In some the hole is close to or in the squish area. Upon take them apart, I'll see the top of the piston under the release hole devoid of carbon. I suspect that it's due to gases going in and out of the hole as pressure spike during combustion.

Question, any particular brand or style you'd say is better ? Seriously considering dropping a plug on the S&S heads on the shovel and installing a set.

I've used ones from Goodson, HD and Jireh (Midwest?), They all seem to be the same. They are all 10mm x 1.0mm thread so you'd have to make an adapter to get to 14mm x 1.25mm. There is probably someone that makes a spark plug sized compression release but I've not looked. Most of the stuff I've installed was into heads so 10mm was fine. Did have to make an adapter for a set of Delkrons to 5/16-24.
I'm going to have do some deep diving on those. I've heard stories all over the board good & bad with releases, some having the heads pop off or blowing out after some time. Mostly why I've never gone down that road yet. Goodson is the brand seems most common.
