Check that the S&S quickies large collar don't hit the bottoms of the top push tubes
Used to be horrendous problems with the cheap solid conversions kits with the fat aluminium pushrods guys loved to put in shovels. 99% of those things rubbed the insides of the pushrod tubes, so bad you could see the tubes moving at an idle.

Hey guys, I know its been some time but my shop has been busy with bikes and I have to take advantage. In another month it'll slow down.
Anyway I've adjusted the pushrods 3 times and adjusted the timing so many times I've lost count. So my plan is now to go through everything and check all my work again. I'm so pissed because the bike has ran a couple of times just not in an optimal way. Back to the drawing board.
Going to finish a bike this morning then I'm on this the rest of the day. I need to get her started. If you guys can think of anything any suggestions are appreciated. I think I already owe a round of beers or 2 to those that responded previously.
Ride safe!!

Update: So I broke everything down and here are some pics of the carb, manifold, front and rear heads. There was gas sitting at the rear of the carb and gas around the front seal for the manifold. Also a lot of black soot which I'm thinking is excess gas. LMK what you guys think. I still couldn't get her to start after adjusting the timing. I'm at a loss so I'm going to clean and rebuild this back very slowly.
I'm seeing valve guides pushing a lot of oil with that mess on the pistons and those intake seal on one side was sucking air, the black on the bottom of the port is a dead give away.

Does that mean the valve guide seals need to be replaced? And the manifold seals weren't seating correctly?
At least the seals but from the amount of oil I see I'm leaning to well worn guides. Look in the ports on the heads, are guides themselves wet looking ?
