Default 1998 Heritage Softail Classic

Hello all. Im trying to change the dreaded starter on my Softail. I started to take off my primary cover (torq head bolts)
and striped the first one..I used a T27 bit but it striped.
What's the best way to remove that bolt
Now it striped?
Any help would be appreciated 👍

Your can use a drill to remove the head of the screw then remove the primary cover to remove the rest of the screw with a stud remover or vise grips..

Sometimes a T27 bit will have a tip that protrudes.
Grinding that tip OFF will sometimes allow a greater bite into the bolt.

I started to notice once i read of it.
It is probably the cheaper stuff that has less precise production.
Like the cheap torx bits and allen bits.
The better quality bits looked flatter on tip.
