got a engine from my bud 0.0003 runout. just about got everything cleaned up and flushed. do I need to remove oil pan.
thanks
If the scavenge pump didn't have any crap in it, you are probably OK on the oil pan.. When I blew up my FXDX, broken rod, the pump was clear. I didn't bother with the pan.. I figure it probably made less than 10 revs before it locked up.. Oil pump and cam plate were still good. Flip side is that on a 2012 bagger, it's not too hard to remove the oil pan in the frame to have a look. If it does have crap, typically best to replace as the baffle is not removable..

thanks max.
oil pump and cam plate looks good. no scoring or metal inside either. guess I gotta go ahead and pull the rear tire and drop the pan and have a look see. it was so much metal in the cam chest i don't feel comfortable not verifying after I've came this far.
