Now unlikely and likely are non specific? Kinda like what the definition of is is?
Not disagreeing with your now carefully worded forum responses. Its just over all these years there has been many posts on here with bikes of various levels and mileage directed to your product without proper diagnosis. Im sure there are more than a few that went the catch can route and ended up dumping a full can too frequently and kept on riding their merry way, ignorant to a bigger problem. Rocker lockers .same thing.
Dont be so defensive. Nothing wrong with promoting the product. Lets just agree that there isnt complete diagnosis happening before these products are recommended. And IF youre the MOST published data co ever in existence, maybe you have stats on percentage success rate of all your customers
ROFLMAO
Not being defensive.
When I see someone misquoting us, or saying that we say things that we do not, I am going to set the record straight...or if a person persists in ignoring facts, I will just end up ignoring them.
The balancing act is while I may not want to converse with a person that is insulting or misquoting us, I still have to think of all the other folks reading the misinformation about us. It's a bit of a catch-22.
Not only unlikely and likely being non specific but there is varying grades of the the issue.. From none to barely noticeable to a little after a hard run to a little runny to a bleeder..
Well stated, on both subjects.
And the second one is what makes it even more difficult to diagnose over the internet.
Sorta like what is too loud for one person is too quiet for another.
So after talking to a few people at the dealership I found out the oil in my air filter is due to the fact that I rode the bike in the rain a couple times....I'm sorry....WTactualF?!? So rain will get into your oil causing it to bubble up and start spewing out of the intake? WHY?! Have Harleys always done this, and if so, how have they not figured out how to prevent this? I know the Japanese manufacturers don't have this problem. Not sure about the European bikes, but I have a strong suspicion they don't either (correct me if I'm wrong). What are you supposed to do when you are out on a nice long ride and get caught in the rain? Do you just stop right there and cover up your intake so rain doesn't get into your oil? Do you just keep riding and make sure you change your oil every time you ride in the rain? Sorry if I sound like an idiot but this doesn't make any sense to me. I use my motorcycles for transportation not just recreation.

Thats BS. Rain doesn't have anything to do with it.
The coughing, hesitation and backfiring isn't normal. It could be an intake leak, exhaust leak or bad tuning. The dealer should be able to fix that.
The oil in the air filter is from the head breathers and is normal. It seems to be worse if you ride at high speed. There are aftermarket options to remedy this, but the dealer won't do anything about a little oil in the air filter.
