Hey all, quick question as I couldn’t find it in search, coworker built his 2006 heritage with a 100 kit and wanted to upgrade his cams again. He originally did cams with oe plate and hydraulic tensioners from fuel moto and he’s bought cams for an 06 and 07 and either one doesn’t fit engine or doesn’t plate… assuming he has to go back through fuel moto or get another plate? Thanks in advanced! I’m sure he’ll call someone Monday about it anyways.

oe plate I think had bearings not bushings and the teeth on the cams were different for later model cams, tell him send a pic of the cam. Also the inner cam bearings were larger on the 2007 up I think
Sounds like he needs conversion cams. Wood and Andrews make them. Possibly other manufacturers. When you say OE plate, do you mean 2007 up cam plate?
I would assume it’s an OE 07 up plate since it has hydraulic tensioners now and the 06 cams wouldn’t fit the plate. He has a woods cam now so I just told him to call fuel moto since offer them. I’d say conversion cams is his only option he just wanted s&s cams this go around. Or a different plate. Quite a predicament after buying cams.

Why I asked for clarification on what cam plate he has, HD sells a cam plate that will use hydraulic tensioners, a late model oil pump and retain the TC 88 style cams. Part number 25284-11. It didn't come on any motors from the factory, but it is an HD part.
