I have a set of S&S quikee PRs that I'm installing starting with the rear cylinder at TDC and the cam on the base circle.
I must be missing something because I can't get the PR tube and cover up high enough to get clearance to get my wrench in there to continue lengthening the PR no matter how hard I pull up on the PR tube??
As you can see in the picture, with the tube held up as tight as possible, I can barely get to the lock nut - and the adjuster part of the PR is completely covered by the tube and I have not even reached zero lash yet?
🤔🤔
All the YouTube videos make it look so much easier and done with just a lacky band and a paper clip??
You need to get set of shorter lower pushrod tubes and longer clips. Both Fueling and Colony sells them. They are on page 783 of the Drag Specialties 2024 catalog. Also I always put the lower O ring above the lip on the lower tube then roll it on the tappet cover after setting the push rod , it keeps me from losing them. Hope this helps

Thanks. I bought the complete pushrod kit for the very reason that I thought it had everything that I needed.
Shorter tubes and longer clips would be much better.... I don't know why S&S don't come like this?
Thanks for the tip about the oring a well. Good idea.
the s&S quickee pushrods usually come as a set with the proper pushrod tubes in black or chrome. did you only get pushrods, with no tubes?
if so get in touch with your local indy and get yourself some tubes.
