Yes it does sound contradicting. They installed 135 but when I ask questions in regards to noise coming from compensator area and if there should have an upgrade to the compensator they are unsure. When I contact Corp they say talk to dealer. Also wanted to know if it's normal to hear what I call excessive upper valve noise. Has me thinking noise means wear. This bike was bought new and with a upgrade to 135 they should take into consideration excessive strain on drive train. Compensator sounds like marbles in a glass jar.

Good question. I AM changing my compensator.. to a Darkhorse Man-o-War, just to avoid any issues. IDK what primary oil you are using but maybe try something different, I'm not going to be using SYN3. I called corporate today to try to get a straight answer from them on whether or not to use dino or synthetic during break in and they looked but couldn't find anything - told me to ask the dealership.
I asked about break in oil and was told that's old school and just use synthetic. I used syn3 at first 1000 moles and recently I hit 5000 and decided to take private repair Shop and used Amsoil. More pricier but still cheaper than harley. Just keep log book with receipts.
Thank you. LOL I am old school. My joints creak. I will prob end up asking them to use dinosaur oil unless it violates the terms of their warranty. Among other things, it's easier to see impurities in it than in synthetic from what I've been advised so you know better when all the crap is out and then you can switch to synthetic. Anything that makes it easier on my colorblind eyes is a plus for me. I'm going to the dealership this morning so we will see what they have to say.
New crate se135 installed by harley. Runs great however there is a loud rattle that sounds like it's coming from compensator area after first start in morning. It takes about 1 minute to start loud rattle. It can be heard over 20 feet away but then it will gradually lower to a sort rattle. Any idea what that is. It's embarrassing lol. Called harley and not very customer friendly. They say take it to dealer but they don't have much experience with 135 I was told
my recent 135 crate blew up, #2 now has a similar knocking noise as what u described. What did you find out from your dealer? What was the issue or fix?
