I believe the knurled areas on the spacers/ bolts was at one time secured in the backing plate at manufacturing. You will need to replace the backing plate assy. Or you might try something like JB Weld epoxy to stick them back into the backing plate.
Notice in this picture the metal spacers are molded into the backing plate.

Cheers man , yes iv come to that theory myself , have difficulty finding another plate going to try repair myself cheers
