Leakdown Test

When I hear that an engine is guzzling oil, but compression is good and leakdown is good, my first guess is an error in computing oil consumption.
I`m not a big fan of leakdown testing (on a simple 2 cylinder air cooled engine), I think a compression test is at least as good, but neither tells you how much compression you have when the engine is actually running.

I'd like to see some pictures, evidence, of the spark plugs etc.. The reason why I made that little remark "Isn't that Sumpin" was maybe that is his issue...
